FAQs

  • The timeline will vary based on your request and the number of commissions ahead of you in line. However, unless otherwise noted, you can expect an initial response from me within two weeks of your submission.

    If the project looks like a good fit, we’ll set up a time for an initial consultation (30 minutes-1 hour). I prefer to work on a small number of commissions at a time to ensure quality, so while it may take several months to schedule an initial appointment, I’ll be able to devote more time and focus to your commission when the time comes.

    Our consultation will be the perfect time to pore over any reference photos and Pinterest boards you’ve been curating. We’ll discuss in greater depth how to best make your vision come to life, how long the process will take, and how much it will cost. I’ll send you a document with the cost and timeline terms we establish in our meeting, and will get to work from there.

    Typically, I charge the consultation fee up front, half of the remaining cost of the total project following our consultation, and second half of the remainder once I’ve completed the commission.

  • Because my rates must account for the cost of materials, labor, and expertise, they vary as much as the projects themselves do. Please see my answer above regarding timeline for a better understanding of the consultation and payment timeline! In general, these are the ballpark price ranges.

    Small hand-painted items (journals, picture frames, phone cases):

    Initial Consultation Appointment: $20-$35
    Labor and Materials: $80-$150
    Revisions (as requested): $10-$100 each, maximum 2 revisions
    Total cost: $100-$385

    Large hand-painted items (furniture, wall mural, etc.):

    Initial Consultation Appointment: $20-$35
    Labor and Materials: $400-$800
    Revisions (as requested): $25-$400 each, maximum 2 revisions
    Total cost: $420-$1,635

    Tattoo Designs:

    Initial Consultation Appointment: $20-$35
    Labor and Materials: $100-$300
    Revisions (as requested): $20-$100 each, maximum 2 revisions
    Total cost: $100-$535

    T-shirt Designs:

    Initial Consultation Appointment: $20-$35
    Labor and Materials: $200-$300
    Revisions (as requested): $20-$100 each, maximum 2 revisions
    Total cost: $220-$600
