What makes this print high quality?
Welcome to the Demystification Station! All of my pieces are printed with giclée technology (pronounced “zhee-clay”), which means that they were adapted from high-resolution scans. While most digital photos are recorded at a resolution of 72 DPI, or “dots per inch,” on the screen, I scan my original artwork at 600 DPI. This allows printers to register and reproduce the maximum number of variations in color and value, leading to incredibly accurate, ultra-detailed prints.
I also use fine art quality paper, which has a slight water color texture and a weight of 200 GSM, or grams per square meter. For reference, copier paper is usually around 80-90 GSM, while business cards are around 350 GSM.
These methods and materials mean that your newest artwork will stay vibrant and intact for years to come.
